Window Man lights the blue touch paper!

30th July 2009

Hello and welcome back! I seem to be having some competition in the Safestyle TV ad arena with a new character emerging, but I don’t want to say too much right now – needless to say, you’ll know him when you see him! But don’t worry fans, my new blockbuster will be storming your screens before too long – look out!

This week, I’ve already visited Safestyle Nottingham and I will also be going to Hull, to deliver brand new Safestyle-branded T-shirts and sweatshirts! Then I’ll be Sheffield on Friday, and in the afternoon I’m making a surprise visit to our factory in Barnsley, Safestyle Manufacturing – looking forward to see some windows and doors being made, and meeting the excellent people we’ve got there!

It’s chucking it down as I speak, but our brave heroic Safestyle Canvassers are out there knocking doors and spreading the Safestyle energy saving message all our the country. It’s a difficult job, you know, and every time I meet our guys, it never fails to impress me just how dedicated and committed they are. Nice one to all!

I was at the friendly football match on Tuesday night, between Burnley and our old friends Accrington Stanley, which was a fund-raiser for them – but this time I had no commitments and was just able to sat back, relax, and enjoy the game. It finished with a nice even 2-2 (we were losing 2-0 at one point though, but then we decided to finally start playing!).

On Saturday I will be presiding as one of three judges in “Burnley’s Got Talent” which is being organised by Sky Sports FanZone. It’ll be like the Britain’s Got Talent / Pop Idol shows, where fans come into the room to face the judges, we’ll ask them a few questions, and they’ll commentate on a couple of Burnley goals as if they were themselves commentating on FanZone. The judges will then give a bit of feedback (mainly positive as it must be quite daunting - unless they’re really horrendous!) and then end at 2.30 ahead of the Leeds friendly. The plan is to announce the winner on the pitch at halftime, and Sky Sports News will be covering the auditions. So if you think you’ve got the talent, contact the FanZone and attend the audition. I think I might like to sport my Burnley shirt!

Yours on fire,
Safestyle Window Man Jeff
